Artist's Comments

This was a piece for a bench exercise about stone inlay. Each student had to take a chunk of uncut stone, cut it, and use it in an inlay setting. Although I'm not sure what the stone I picked is (it came from a big bucket), I enjoyed the layered colors. The setting is sterling silver, and comes with a silver charm that sits over the piece, depicting a moon and clouds theme. I strung it on a variety of colored strings to match the stone.
